Caring for Jews in need in St. Paul, Israel and around the world while nurturing and sustaining the Jewish community today and for future generations.

On April 25, our Board of Directors voted to change the name of our organization to the Jewish Federation of Greater St. Paul. This new name will help create a stronger visual identity and raise greater public support for our mission of helping Jews in need and strengthening our community. We also adopted a new logo – with a circular design and menorah – which is rooted in Jewish tradition, signaling the centrality and stature of the Jewish Federation and retaining elements of our current logo while conveying a sense of openness and vitality.

Our name changed, our commitment to the St. Paul Jewish community continues:

We are and always will be the organization that unites the St. Paul Jewish community to:

·         Build and sustain our Jewish community

·         Educate our children

·         Feed the hungry

·         Provides for our elderly

·         Help the poor

·        Respond to emergencies

·         Help Jews in need in Israel and around the world

Identifying ourselves as the Jewish Federation will help position us for a better future as we look at how best to address changing demographics, engage new community members and tell our powerful story as simply and clearly as possible.

The new name aligns us with other Jewish federations across the country which are affiliated, as St. Paul is, with the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA).  Because our new brand, developed by JFNA, is used nationally by 100 communities, newcomers to our community will more easily identify and connect with our new name and logo – it’s likely they’ve seen the brand in their previous community. Additionally, it is to our advantage to more closely identify with the wider Federation movement to connect our community to its national initiatives.
