Description: Camp Chi is seeking a Teen Village Director to manage all aspects of Chi's Teen Village (Noar). Specifically, the Teen Director will provide leadership for campers and create an environment where they can build self-esteem, independence as well as strong group relationships. In addition, the position involves staff supervision and facilities management. This position is a high-level, supervisory, administrative position for a person with significantly camp leadership experience. Responsibility highlights include: Implementation of age-appropriate and fin programs and special events, supervise and evaluate all counseling staff in village, supervise teen field trips, provide care for all campers in the village, and coordinate with facilities staff to maintain dining hall, cabins, and bathhouses, communicate with parents; and other camp supervisory responsibilities as assigned.
Position Available: 06/07/2009
Salary Range: DOE + Room & Board
Desired Education Degree/Level: All
Prior Experience: The Teen Village Director must be at least 21 years old. Significant previous camp experience is required along with a desire to work with teens and college aged staff. The best applicants demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm, organization, creativity, flexibility, professionalism, sound judgment and a nurturing personality.
