Principal Duties:
Develop an Annual Plan and implement strategies to solicit donors from $1- $4,999. Develop and implement strategies for telemarketing, direct mail and on-line giving. Develop and manage relationships with vendors/consultants regarding these activities. Conduct research and analysis of database, and develop evaluation tools to determine future plans. Coordinate functions between campaign operations, Accounting, IT and Campaign. Analyze results of strategies, and report regularly to senior management on progress toward goals. Plan, organize and develop collection efforts for the campaign. Analyze records for outstanding pledges, payments and balances due to establish reasonable goals for collections activity. Serve as member of Cash Collections committee, and provide any necessary staff support to lay committee. Interact with both staff and lay leadership on an on-going basis in determining collection approach and participate in the development of collection statement stuffers and mailings. Develop and serve as staff leadership for annual Super Sunday event. Perform analysis of donor database to identify prospects with capacity to give beyond $4,999 and work with major gift officers to develop strategy for increased giving.
Additional Duties:
Be available to the Exec VP, Chief Development Officer for additional assignments as needed.
Education, Skill and Experience Requirements:
BA required, advanced degree preferred; minimum of 3-5 years experience in fundraising, community development, sales or marketing; leadership skills and ability to work with volunteers; outstanding organizational and written skills, analytic skills and attention to detail; ability to handle confidential financial and personal information with discretion and sensitivity; knowledge of database applications and Excel preferred.
